Once Upon a Nightmare

Once Upon a Nightmare is a stylized first-person platformer about a child named Jamie fighting through his dreams turned nightmare with whimsical and horror elements.

The player will use jumping, dashing, a mini trampoline, and other children’s toys to navigate unique nightmare-themed levels and the monsters held within!


The movement and platforming we have designed create a unique first-person platformer, the dark dreamlike aesthetic draws the player into our game world, and the mysteries within the story help drive the player forward.

Status:

Early Alpha V.0.1.3

The game is still in development so it is ever-improving, but there is a solid team of writers, designers, and artists working out an impactful story, memorable level design, and thrilling gameplay.
We hope to connect much basic childhood (and adult!) fears to our levels.
